Built for normal people, not a product database
- One place for the thing in front of you. Household equipment, vehicles, electronics, tools, and eligible medical-device documentation all start with the same simple job: identify it, then find the documentation that applies.
- It does not pretend one PDF is the whole answer. A vehicle can have an owner’s manual, feature guide, maintenance material, safety notices, and parts information. OpenScan makes that scope visible.
- It keeps the decision with you. A found PDF is a possible match, not a guarantee. Check model, revision, region, and manufacturer information before you rely on it.
- Medical boundary. OpenScan can locate and quote documentation. It does not diagnose, recommend treatment, or choose patient-specific settings.
Public documents, not access-control workarounds
Automated discovery is limited to direct public HTTPS documents and a narrow set of known manufacturer or regulator support pages. OpenScan does not bypass logins, download gates, paywalls, CAPTCHAs, or other access controls. Read the Content & Document Source Policy for the exact boundary.
