OpenManual Terms of Use
Effective August 23, 2026. These terms are written for the OpenManual app and its Gunzino support pages.
1. Agreement and purpose
By using OpenManual, you agree to these terms. OpenManual helps you identify equipment, locate and read possible documentation, keep selected documents locally, and inspect source-backed passages. It is a utility for finding and organizing information, not a promise that a result is complete, current, accurate, licensed, authorized, or applicable to your situation.
2. Your license to use OpenManual
Subject to these terms and the applicable App Store terms, you may use OpenManual on Apple devices you own or control. You may not reverse engineer, interfere with, misuse, or use the app to violate another person’s rights, a service’s terms, or applicable law.
3. Documents and third-party services
OpenManual is not a central manual repository. Source documents belong to their respective rights holders. The app may help you reach direct public HTTPS documents or material you independently import or share into the app. A source appearing in OpenManual is not an assertion that it is official, complete, current, licensed for redistribution, or correct for your model, revision, location, or use.
You must not use OpenManual to bypass a login, paywall, download gate, CAPTCHA, access control, or other restriction. You are responsible for having the rights needed to import, retain, reproduce, share, or export a document. See the Content & Document Source Policy for the operating boundary.
4. Verify before you rely
Confirm the manufacturer, model, catalog or REF number, revision, region, and the source document itself before you rely on a result. OpenManual can be unable to find material, can show a poor match, or can be unavailable. Safety notices, applicable instructions for use, and manufacturer guidance control over any summary or quoted passage in the app.
5. Medical and safety limitation
OpenManual does not provide diagnosis, treatment recommendations, patient-specific settings, emergency guidance, or professional advice. Do not use it as a substitute for an applicable IFU, safety procedure, qualified professional, emergency service, or manufacturer support. You are responsible for the safe and lawful use of any device and document.
6. Your data, imports, and sharing
OpenManual stores selected device and document information locally on your device. You are responsible for the information and files you import, and for any destination you choose through the iOS Share Sheet. The Privacy Policy explains local storage, online lookups you initiate, deletion, backups, and sharing.
7. Purchases
If OpenManual offers a one-time unlock, it is a non-consumable In-App Purchase processed by Apple. The App Store’s applicable payment, refund, and account terms apply. Restore a prior eligible purchase from the app’s purchase screen. No subscription or automatic renewal is created by the one-time unlock.
8. Availability and changes
OpenManual and outside sources can change, fail, or become unavailable. The publisher may update, suspend, or discontinue features when necessary, including features that depend on an outside source. These terms may change as the app changes; the effective date above identifies the current version.
9. Content concerns and contact
For a content or rights concern, send the source URL, document title, your relationship to the material, and the action you are requesting to gunnarguy@me.com. Do not send sensitive personal data, account credentials, or a full copyrighted document unless specifically requested.
